Tags

Tags are short labels your team puts on feedback, such as "Product improvement" or "Needs legal review". They belong to your company and are for your team only: the people who send feedback never see them, and neither does any other company.

Add a tag to feedback

1. Open a feedback item, from the Feedback Board, the Feedback inbox or the dashboard.
2. Click in the Tags box and start typing. Matching tags appear underneath.
3. Choose a tag from the list, or press Enter.
4. To take a tag off again, click the x beside it.

An item can carry up to 20 tags. Adding or removing a tag is recorded in the item's Activity list, with who did it.

Create a new tag

Managers and Company Admins can create a tag without leaving the item: type a name that does not exist yet and choose Create. It is put on the item and is ready to use on any other feedback straight away.

• A name can be up to 50 characters.
• Capital letters and extra spaces do not make a different tag. "product improvement" finds "Product Improvement" instead of creating a second one.
• A company can have up to 200 tags.

Who can do what

Find feedback by tag

The Feedback Board, the Feedback inbox and the board view each have a "Filter by tag" button. Tick one or more tags to show only the feedback that carries them. With two or more ticked, choose whether an item needs any of them or all of them. "Show all tags" brings everything back. The tags on each item are shown in the lists.

When a Company Admin exports feedback, the file has a Tags column listing each item's tags.

Rename or delete a tag

Managers and Company Admins open Tags in the menu. The page lists every tag and how many items carry it.

• Rename: click the pencil, type the new name and save. The tag changes on every item that carries it.
• Delete: click the bin. You are told how many items it will be removed from before you confirm. The feedback itself is never deleted.

Deleting a tag cannot be undone. If you only want to tidy a name, rename it instead.
